Here’s what to expect from this episode:

Never underestimate the power of having fun in your business. Today’s guest, Rebecca Joyner, has made it her goal this year to “Do what is fun.”

She launched her podcast, Secondary Science Simplified in January of 2022 to support secondary science teachers and says, “It’s just fun for me. I have loved connecting with my audience…being able to communicate and serve them in a new way.”

I love having guests on the show who have experience with podcasting and who can share how their shows are impacting their Teachers Pay Teachers businesses. In this episode, Rebecca shares time management tips for creating content and how she batches content so she can keep her working hours down to 15 hours a week. I call her the Batch Queen!

Rebecca also shares insights about how free content pays off, what she is loving about podcasting, and how recording podcast episodes compares to writing blog posts. Even though she just started podcasting this year, she is already seeing some exciting results. If you’ve been on the fence about starting a podcast, Rebecca has some great advice for you!
