Here’s what to expect from this episode:

One of the best things about podcasting is connecting with other people. And one of my goals this year is to connect with more of YOU who listen to this podcast every week. I recently sent an email asking if anyone would like to come on the show and share their experience with podcasting. I was so happy to get so many responses from you all, and today's episode is one result of that email.

In this episode, I'm chatting with Theresa Hoover, co-host of Pass the Baton, a podcast for music teachers. In the first part of the episode, Theresa shares her background and how she and her co-host, Kathryn Finch, got started in podcasting after writing a book together, what it's like co-hosting a podcast, and, you guessed it, how to get more podcast listeners.

And that's what the bulk of this episode is all about. I give Theresa suggestions on getting more podcast listeners by utilizing SEO within podcast listening apps, email marketing, audience surveys, reviewing stats to drive content planning, and so much more!

None of these suggestions are super hard, but by incorporating them one at a time, week by week, Theresa and Kathryn can work towards their goal of getting more eyes and ears on their podcast this year. This was a really fun episode to record, and I can't wait for you to hear it!
