What are the best tools to use for podcasting? With so many options out there, and more being creating every day, it’s often hard to know which platforms to go with…especially when you’re first starting out.
Over the last few years, I have tried out many different tools for podcasting to help me with all the detailed tasks! Today I’m sharing my current favorites with you.
ClickUp for Project Management
I transitioned from Trello to Click-Up as my business, and team, grew. I love the uncluttered user view, the endless options for automations, and how its many features saves you time!

Audacity
Audacity is my favorite tool for recording solo episodes and editing audio.
It’s totally free, and has a fairly low learning curve! You can download it today here.
Zencastr
Zencastr is my platform of choice for recording guest interviews. After testing a few different guest interview platforms, Zencastr is by far my favorite.
It was created for podcasting, gives you seperate tracks for each speaker, makes it easy for your guest, and gives you great sound quality.

Otter.ai
This is one of my absolute favorite tools for podcasting! Otter.ai is a transcription service. You can drop your episode audio in the program and within minutes, you’ll have a full transcript.
The transcript is editable, so you can go in and clean it up. The reason that Otter.ai is one of the best tools for podcasting is because of how accurate their transcription is!
You can embed the transcription on your show notes page, easily pull quotes, and pull out other pieces of content to help you write show notes, newsletters, and social media captions.
Canva
If you don’t use Canva for your business, now is the time to start! I probably use Canva every single day for things like social media graphics, PDFs, show notes graphics, and more.
While they do offer a free account, I have the Canva Pro account to gain access to more templates, images, and features.

Hello Audio
I am OBSESSED with Hello Audio! It’s the best tool for creating a private podcast feed.
If you’re not familiar with private podcasting, you can use them as an engaging lead magnet, for your course content, or even for a paid podcast!

Dynamic Ads
Dynamic ads are one of the top tools for podcasting because it makes advertising on your show so much easier, and more effective.
Dynamic ads are inserted into your podcast host, and be automatically be applied to every single episode (or just certain episodes) with the click of a button. How cool is that?!
Some podcast hosts that offer dynamic ads are Libsyn, Buzzsprout, and Captivate.fm.
