Here’s what to expect from this episode:

Wondering how you can get your audience involved in your podcast episodes? Today's guest has some awesome ideas on how to do just that!

Megan Polk is a literacy specialist and the owner/curriculum designer behind The Literacy Dive. She has recently rebranded so you may formerly know her as Miss P's Style. She is a lover of all things literacy and supports students and teachers around the world with strategies, activities, and more! Megan has taught kindergarten, second, and fourth grade, before moving into the role of reading and writing interventionist where she serviced students K-5. It was during that role where she grew an intense love for literacy and became passionate about doing everything possible to close the gaps and help students improve their deficits. Megan loves to connect with teachers on Instagram as well as through The Literacy Dive Podcast. She enjoys sharing her craft and techniques with the hopes of making the job of teaching literacy way easier!

In today's episode, Megan shares about her experience starting her own podcast and how she has grown along the way. She also shares about how she first started her TpT business.

Megan and I discuss:

  • What led Megan to start a TPT store

  • Why she launched her own podcast and the fears she faced

  • The moment she realized people were actually listening to her podcast

  • How hiring a podcast manager has taken her podcast up a notch, eliminated overwhelm, and given her more time to interact with her audience

  • How she plans her podcast episodes and engages with her audience

  • Megan's advice for new podcasters and those considering podcasting
